Hello Sun!

Yay - the sun is back and spring is getting close. We have been venturing out and loving every second of it. Here are a few pics of our latest outings in the front yard as well Buck's trip to the Memphis Botanical Gardens, they have an excellent area for children called My Big Backyard, it is incredible and worth every penny of the 5 dollar admission.

Ryan's Birthday

We celebrated Ryans Birthday in style and the boys made his birthday cake! Really they did everything except put the pan in the oven,. Buck was the assembler while Hi T was in total control of quality check with the ingredients. We made him a Black forest pudding cake and it was fantastic. (to my family - this is just like Mamoo's Dump cake with Chocolate cake mix and no pineapple.). I can tell that my little chefs get their cooking skills from Ryan.

February Frenzy

Wow, I cannot believe that February has almost come and gone! What a busy month it has been for us with Snow Days, Sick Days and (Finally) School Days. The boys are growing up so fast, they do something new to amaze me every day. Buck is a riot, he is talking in full sentences now and is learning so much about the world. He just recently gave me my first "i love you mommy" and that was incredible for me! Theodore is growing up faster than I can take, he honestly thinks he is Bucks age and will not settle to be treated like a baby. He is talking incredbly well, he can sing all of twinke twinkle, It floored me the first time he did it, I had no clue. He is really picking up on all of Buck's catch phrases but is still very much his own person. I love how much they play together and when Buck sees Thoedore after school he always runs up to him, gives him a big hug and says "love for Hi T" - super sweet.

Theodore's First Birthday Party!

What a great weekend! Theodore had his first birthday party on Saturday and it was a huge hit. I am glad we waited, there is no way I could have pulled that party off a week before Christmas. Hi T had a few of his own peeps at the party and everyone got along great.The theme was Teddy Bear's picnic and we had bears EVERYWHERE! We had an Art Activity where the kids got to make thier own bear face on a paper plate. Thanks to Ryan we had a full lunch buffet of hot dogs, corn, beans, chips and dip. The cake was made by my awesome neighbor, laura jackson and it was perfect, the teddy bear on top was adorable and the cake was delicious. Theodore had no trouble digging in, the boy is not shy about his desserts. I will hop off the typing now, there are a slew of pics to follow!

Christmas 2009!

We had a fantastic Christmas. It was great to see Buck get the whole holiday. HE was very excited for Santa and helped bake cookies. Theodore was excited to eat the leftover cookies he found on Santa's plate the next morning. It was a busy season but we had fun going to parties, seeing family, making crafts and celebrating Jesus's birthday. Buck LOVED singing happy birthday to baby Jesus, he had made a baby Jesus at preschool, I have a pic below and it is so sweet! I hope everyone else had a great and wonderful holiday. Happy New Year!

Happy Birthday High T!

Wow - One Already! This was the fastest year ever but Theodore is officially one! We are planning on having a "real" party in January for the big guy but wanted to do a little party for him to celebrate. Having a birthday a week before Christmas is hard, but now he gets 2 parties - go high T! We had a great time and invited our friend Leila over with her parents for Ravioli and cupcakes! It was a blast - Theodore is really growing up, he is ready for that sippy cup but don't dare take away his Pacifier! He loves his Rocket from Aunt Melissa, Aunt Rachel and Grandpa Ralph!

Why I smile on the Tough Days

It was a regular busy day of work and spending time with the boys, I went to go check my mail and came back to find Buck just like this. I love it! There is also a pic of Hi T, equal airtime on the blog :) T is getting so big, he will be 1 in just a week, not sure where all of that time went.
